Installing the Geometris 88 Series

Before you start:

Make sure you have what you need:
  1. 1x Geometris  88 Series OBD device

How to Install the Geometris 88 Series:

  1. Carefully insert device into the OBD II socket. Look at the figure below to find the typical location of the OBD II socket in cars:



  2. Once the device is installed, ensure the device is working properly as evidenced by a green LED light blinking. The green light starts blinking after a GPS and cellular connection is initiated.

For Heavy Duty:

Affix the device to your chosen location and secure it in place with velcro, zip ties, or adhesive. The device should be faced and labeled up securely and set against the mounting surface to ensure stability while the vehicle is in motion.

In heavy duty vehicle the harness wires are located right underneath the AC units circulation vents which could the cause of build-up of condensation converted into water. We recommend using a drip loop solution using a harness to protect the device.

Note:
  1. There should be no metal located above the device, as this may interfere with the GPS signal.
  2. Make sure that the unit is kept safe from direct exposure to the elements. (sun, heat etc.) and away from heater vents or hot engine compartments.
