Understanding the Dash Cam
The dash cam has lenses on each side, allowing it to capture video of the driver and the road at the same time.
The in-cab lens allows you to:
- Understand and benefit from driving alerts.
- Manually trigger an event.
Key Components:

- Road-Facing Camera - Captures high-definition footage of the road with wide-angle coverage.
- 3M Mounting Pad - Provides secure adhesion to the windshield, ensuring the camera stays in place during vibrations and harsh conditions while being easy to install and reposition.
- Cabin-Facing Camera - Captures a clear view of the driver and in-cabin activity.
- Infrared (IR) LEDs - Enhances low-light and nighttime performance, ensuring clear video recordings in dark environments.
- Lock/Unlock Screw - Allows precision angle adjustments, ensuring optimal coverage, with secure locking to prevent accidental movement.
- Driver Alert Button - Enables drivers to manually trigger event recordings for capturing critical moments not automatically detected.
- Status LEDs - Provides clear visual indicators for power, recording, and operational status at a glance. For more details, refer to the article Understanding LED Statuses.
- Speaker and Microphone - Records clear audio to add context to video footage and allows playback of system alerts and prompts.
When the dash cam is turned off completely, distracted driving alerts, video live streaming, and video recordings are not available.
