What Does Active Mean for the FedEx VEDR Program

In this guide, we will go over what Active means for the VEDR unit and our pricing structure.

What is Active:

If the camera is recording driving events, tracking, or activated on our platform at https://fedex.hdfleet.net, then the camera is active. If you do not set it as Active in our platform, it will eventually be tracked as Active since the camera would be uploading activity to our platform.

Limited events and GPS data are captured if the VEDR unit is on but not set as Active in our platform. This delays real-time alerts and other features meant to protect your drivers. We highly recommend that if you are using the unit, to set it as Active in our platform for full functionality.
Note
If you do not want a monthly charge, please leave the camera unplugged and marked as Inactive on our platform.

Pricing Structure:

  1. There is a $5 minimum for any activity found on the camera or our platform for the month, with a maximum of $26/month.

  2. If the camera is not powered up and not active on our platform, then there will be no charge for the month.
