SD Card Status and Troubleshooting

SD Card Status and Troubleshooting

This guide will explain what each status/alert means, and how to troubleshoot issues with your SD Card.

SD Card Status - Green:

  1. If the SD Card is green, then the card is being detected and seems to be in a good state.

    Note
If you want more video recorded on the SD Card, a larger SD Card may be available for purchase.

SD Card Status - Red:

  1. If the SD Card is red, then the card is no longer being detected.

  2. To troubleshoot, first make sure that the SD Card is properly seated.

  3. If the SD Card is properly seated, please reboot the camera.

    a. First, press Settings.

    b. Scroll down and press Power Off.

    c. Disconnect the power cord, wait for the screen to turn black, and re-plug it back in. It will Reboot automatically.

  4. If video is not showing up on the Timeline tab after a trip has taken place, check to see if there are any recordings listed in the Recordings section of the dash cam. If both are empty, then check if the blinking red dot in the bottom left of the camera is on or off. If all these are empty/off, Reformat the SD Card.
    Warning
Reformatting the SD Card will erase all data that is stored on it.

  5. If none of those solutions fixed the issue, then the SD Card needs to be replaced.
