How to Insert and Format an SD Card



Installing the SD Card:

  1. Use the tri-wing screwdriver that was included in the box when you purchased the dash cam to remove the safety screws that lock the protective cover over the SIM and SD card slots.

    A magnet under the cover is used for detection. When the protective cover is opened, a tamper event is triggered.

  2. Verify that the SD Card is securely inserted.

  3. Move on to the following steps of formatting the SD Card.

Formatting Your SD Card:

  1. When you are in park with the parking brake on, the ignition on, and the door closed, press the touchscreen to view the PIN screen.

  2. Enter the default PIN of 3333 to unlock the dash cam, or use your PIN if you have already set it up.



  3. Press Settings.



  4. Select Format SD card.

    Formatting your SD Card will erase all data that is on it.

  5. To confirm the SD Card is working, check to see if there is a red blinking dot  in the bottom left of the camera's home screen. This indicates that it is recording and writing to the SD Card.

    If it is not working, there will be an icon of an SD Card with a slash through it.  If you see this, please contact support.
