Changing/Updating Drivers

There are 5 different ways to update a driver for a vehicle.
  1. Manual Assignment/Default For Vehicle
    1. Log into hdfleet.net with your credentials
    2. Pull up the customer on the left and pin by clicking the red push pin icon next to it (if it is available)

      1. If you don't see the Customers drop down on the left, skip this step
    3. Go to the Settings > Vehicle tab at the top

      1. You can use the Status page if preferred
    4. Search for the vehicle by vehicle name or IMEI

      1. If using the Status page instead, skip this step
    5. Click on the Vehicle Name

    6. Click the Edit Vehicle button on the right

    7. Click the Driver box and choose the Driver
    8. Click the Save button

  2. After Trip Assignment
    1. Log into hdfleet.net with your credentials
    2. Pull up the customer on the left and pin by clicking the red push pin icon next to it (if it is available)

      1. If you don't see the Customers drop down on the left, skip this step
    3. Go to the Settings > Vehicle tab at the top

      1. You can use the Status page if preferred
    4. Search for the vehicle by vehicle name or IMEI

      1. If using the Status page instead, skip this step
    5. Click on the Vehicle Name
    6. Click on the Trip History tab

    7. Click on the Trip you'd like to update the Driver for

    8. Click the Edit icon

    9. Click the box and choose the new driver

    10. Click the Save button

  3. While Doing a DVIR Report
    1. Log into hdfleet.net with your credentials
    2. Pull up the customer on the left and pin by clicking the red push pin icon next to it (if it is available)
    3. Click on Action Board at the top

    4. Click on the DVIR button

    5. Choose New Driver's Vehicle Inspection

    6. Fill out the form, including dropping down the Driver box and selecting the driver.

    7. Check the Assign this trip/next top to me box.

    8. Click Submit Report.

  4. QR Code
    1. Notes Note:
      This needs to be enabled by HD Fleet support to use. Please reach out to [email protected] for more info.
    2. If QR Code is on for a vehicle, you cannot use any other method to assign a driver aside from reassigning the trip after completion.
  5. Facial ID (FID)
    1. Notes Note:
      This needs to be enabled by HD Fleet support to use. Please reach out to [email protected] for more info.
    2. If Facial ID is on for a vehicle, you cannot use any other method to assign a driver aside from reassigning the trip after completion.
