How to Navigate the Dash Cam Screen

This guide will go through the different menus of the dash cam and what each icon means.

To Turn On the Dash Cam Screen and Access the Menu:

  1. After you have parked the vehicle with the parking brake on, the ignition on, and the door closed, press the touchscreen of the dash cam to view the PIN screen.

  2. Enter the default PIN of 3333 to unlock the dash cam, or use your own PIN if you have already set it up.

  3. The main screen will have the following items:

    Component
    Icon
    Description
    Live View
    hardwareIcon_dashcamLiveView
    Access and view live video.
    Recordings
    hardwareIcon_recordings
    Access and view recordings that are stored locally.
    View the different settings options.
    Exit
    hardwareIcon_existOnDashcam
    Exit the menu and lock the screen.

  4. Press any of the options to open the next menu.
It can also be helpful to understand the dash cam icons.

Screen Icons That Appear Along the Bottom of the Screen:

  1. These icons will appear at the bottom of your dash cam screen.

    Component
    Icon
    Description
    Recording indicator
    recording.png
    Indicates if the dash cam is recording.
    GPS connectivity
    driver_pin_icons_gps.png
    Indicates if there is a GPS connection. If there isn't one, a red bar appears across this icon.
    Connection indicator
    driver_pin_icons_connection.png
    Indicates if a data or Wi-Fi connection is available and the strength of that connection. To access Wi-Fi, the camera should have a SIM card.
    Camera not calibrated
    no-location.png
    Indicates that the accelerometer is not calibrated. This will appear on the bottom left area of the screen. After it is calibrated, the icon will disappear.
    SD card not inserted
    hardwareIcon_noSdCard
    Indicates that an SD card has not been inserted. This icon appears in the bottom left area of the screen. After an SD card is inserted, the icon will disappear.
