Why Does My Dash Cam Not Power On?
In this guide, we will go through different troubleshooting methods for figuring out why your dash cam won't turn on.
Alert
If this is a brand new dash cam or if it has been in storage for a while, it might need to charge for up to 1 hour before it will turn on.
Power Source:
- If your dash cam is not hardwired into the car, make sure that it is plugged into a constant 12v power source.
Note:
If it's connected to an Auxiliary Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter), then the camera won't charge/turn on after you turn off the vehicle. - If your dash cam was on and won't power on again, test the camera in a different vehicle. If it works, double-check the Installation and power outputs of the vehicle.
