In this guide, we will go through different troubleshooting methods for figuring out why your dash cam won't turn on.
Alert
If this is a brand new dash cam or if it has been in storage for a while, it might need to charge for up to 1 hour before it will turn on.
Power Source:
If your dash cam is not hardwired into the car, make sure that it is plugged into a constant 12v power source.
Note: If it's connected to an Auxiliary Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter), then the camera won't charge/turn on after you turn off the vehicle.
If your dash cam was on and won't power on again, test the camera in a different vehicle. If it works, double-check the Installation and power outputs of the vehicle.
