After you have received your AI-12 dash cam, a SIM card may already be inserted. If not, you will have to insert your own. You may also need to replace SIM cards at times.
Inserting or Replacing a SIM Card:
Remove the protective cover using the screwdriver that was provided in the box when you first purchased the dash cam.
If replacing a SIM card, remove the old SIM by pushing it down and then sliding it out.
From the shipping card, pop out your new SIM to a micro SIM size.
Insert the new card by pushing it down into place. It should not stick out.
Testing the New SIM Card:
Connect your dash cam to a power source.
Enter the default PIN of 3333, or use your own PIN if you have already set it up.
Look for network connection bars on your screen. (The connection is active when there is no X across the bars.)
If there is an X across the bars, the SIM may be fine, but you might be in an area that has a low signal. When there is no X, the signal should be enough for all functions to run smoothly.
If the network is active, replace the protective cover using the specialty screwdriver.
